Wayne Huang, a security expert and co-founder of security firm Armorize has revealed that around 5 million parked websites have been delivering malware via a rouge widget, mainly targeting users coming from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The widget, used to provide small business tips to users visiting the parked websites was apparently targeting only Internet Explorer 6 users on Windows XP machines. However it may have affected other software.
